Why on Earth would I want to use this?

I thought I was OK with the 5.0.1 update, but now I find that I’m locked out after using the app 5 times because I didn’t upgrade the account I never thought I had to create, and didn’t want to create as I didn’t want my info on some unknown server. Time to dump CardStar and look elsewhere. Too bad, because I’d used CardStar almost since I’ve had an iPhone (beginning of 2010). [Edited again to add: I have since found an app I prefer — mobile-pocket. I found that it includes info for a large number of US retailers; more than those included in the two or three other apps I’d checked out. And it does not require you to set up any cloud account.]
